Gettin' Hitched

My little brother, Chad got married yesterday in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a great day and we're so excited for Chad and Anne! Jaxson had a blast at the temple and at the reception, he thought he was hot stuff in his tuxedo (which he called his okey-dokes--don't ask me). Wyatt just smiled his little heart out at everyone the whole time, and he LOVED the italian soda bar. We finally had to make sure no drinks were in his view, or he would freak out. My sister-in-law's awesome Mom took the boys home with her about halfway through the reception, and dropped them off at our house with a cousin to babysit them. So we were free to talk to grown ups and didn't have to chase/rock/feed/clean any children for the last half of the reception--so nice! I highly recommend it. Here are some pictures of our fun day:

Jaxson 'tackling' his cousin Cody--Cody has about 20 lbs. on Jaxson, but neither one of them has figured that out yet.

The clean cousin

The dirty cousin

(this took him about 5 minutes to do get that way, and this picture was taken after they cleaned him off the best they could)

Wyatt lovin' his italian soda, with a little extra whip cream left over for later.

Mark and I after the kids went home--don't we look relaxed?

CONGRATULATIONS CHAD AND ANNE--THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY!

The Fourth

Happy 4th of July! We hung out at home in the morning because we slept through the pancake breakfast/flag raising at the Grist Mill. Mark and I went to see Indiana Jones during the day--he has been waiting to see it so he got to pick. It was entertaining until the end--I'm sorry, Aliens? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Sorry for the spoiler if you haven't seen it yet, but I think you are better off going in prepared. We had a fun night at a family barbeque and the kids LOVED the fireworks. We had a ten dollar box of fireworks from Walmart that Jaxson looked at everyday for a week, so when it came time to light them he was SO EXCITED. It was hilarious to watch him and his little cousins freak out over those 3-foot fountains. Don't you miss the time when you were excited over flowers, and smoke bombs, and those little tanks that shoot out sparks? Who needs Hannah Montana--when you're two, you can't beat a box of sparklers!

Jax cruising around the backyard in his cousin's princess convertable. Even though he is all boy, he thought this was a pretty sweet ride!

Jaxson and his cousins, Bailey and Taylor all set to watch the show...

Taylor decided she didn't want to be anywhere near that thing once it started going off! Jaxson was fine to stay there as long as he didn't have to hear it.

Oooooohhhh, Aaaaaaaaah

My favorite picture from the night--doesn't that face say it all?
