MOLD

The picture says it all...This is what we found last Saturday when we noticed a leak in our toilet. Mark took the toilet off, and apparently it wasn't quite sealed when we redid our tile a year ago. It has been leaking the whole time we think, just enough to grow a nice colony of mold under our tile and sub floor. So we had to rip out the tile and the sub floor, and scrub the mold away (what a fun and glamorous job that was!). Now we're in the process of retiling, and it's almost done! The upside is that since we had to redo the floor, I decided I might as well redecorate the bathroom (why not, right?) It's turning out cute so far--I'll post a picture when it's done. Thank goodness for my handy husband! He has had his hands full for the last week with this project!!

New Business!

Our new little business is up and running! My friend Holly and I decided to put our crafty skills together and start a business called Simply Creative. We offer craft classes and kits, with the products shown in the slideshow below. Besides selling the kits to do yourself, we do home parties and also large events, like Super Saturdays. Check out all of our information on our blog, and please pass it on to anyone who might be interested!

To get started, we're offering 10% off of the purchase of your first kit through the month of May. We both love the mom's long magnet board for a Mother's Day gift! We are excited to see how it goes--thanks to everyone who has been giving us input and support along the way!

Easter Pictures!

Okay, so I know these are a little late, but our computer has been down.

The boys and their baskets--notice Wyatt's basket is full of candy. I don't know what the Easter bunny was thinking, since Wyatt obviously can't eat candy yet...don't worry though, Mark and I helped him out with it.

Everybody in their Eater clothes!

Jaxson had a blast dying eggs the night before (even though most of them ended up cracked). The tongue sticking out means he's concentrating REALLY hard!

TAGGED- JAXSON & WYATT FACTS

Okay, here are a few random facts about our boys:

1. Jaxson talks a lot, and we can even understand most of it. He started talking pretty early, but one thing he has NEVER said is the word "yes". At first, he said "Oh Ho!" for yes (like a pirate). "Jaxson, do you want to go to the park?" "Oh HO!" Then, he shortened it to "ho", and now it is just "hmm". We have no idea why he does this or where he got it from.

2. Wyatt is so chubby that when he smiles, his cheeks smash his eyes closed. He also has more cleavage then me, not that that's saying a lot...

3. Jaxson's nicknames are Jax, J-dub, Jaxson-boy, and Wyatt's nicknames are Wy-guy, Super Wy (like the cartoon), and Wy-Wy.

4. Jaxson is obsessed with everyone's favorite color, or in his words, their 'best draw'. Once you tell him your favorite color, he never ever forgets it, and he'll bring you that color of crayon everytime he sees you. If you are unable to choose a color for yourself, he will choose for you (wyatt's is yellow, Jake's is green, and his blankie's is white).

5. Wyatt has a TEMPER. He is such a good baby, but when he gets mad, watch out! There is no in between, he's either happy and smiley, or really mad. We are in for it with this one, I can tell already.

6. Jaxson loves to sing and dance to music on my ipod. I have a playlist of songs from his favorite movies, and he loves to rock out to the Sheryl Crow song from Cars or the Chipmunks Funkytown. We also hear him belting out "you got a friend in me" (toy story) all over the house. That's the only line to the song he knows though, so it gets a little old after a while.

7. Wyatt thinks Jaxson is hilarious (see the video). It's so funny that he already loves to watch Jaxson, even though he is only 3 months old. Kids love other kids!

8. Jaxson's favorite treat is cherry tomatoes. He is a great eater, and I'm really picky, so he loves things that I won't even touch.

Okay, I tag MaKenna Rush, Madeline Rowley, and Braeden Archuletta.

Do not be fooled...

by this cute little face! There is a terrible two-year-old lurking inside just waiting to do naughty things the minute you turn your back. So, today I thought I would take Jaxson to do something fun. We went to the library story time, and then to McDonald's for lunch. Everything had gone pretty well, no meltdowns so far. Then we were walking out to the car and he saw the Redbox, and begged me to rent him a movie. Since it's a buck, I let him pick one because it was nap time by then, and it wasn't worth a tantrum. Or so I thought...The movie he picked wasn't there (of course), so I picked him a different one (almost exactly like the one he wanted). When he saw the movie I had picked, he started freaking out. I just let him throw his tantrum while I buckled Wyatt in the car, until this man goes "Um, excuse me, but he just threw his movie in the trash can." Oh yes, the outside McDonald's garbage can, full of all kinds of wonderful things to dig through. NAUGHTY! I was so mad that I fished it out of the garbage and put it right back in the Redbox. Most of the time he is pretty good, but then the terrible two's make an appearance and remind me why they are called that!
